The Monolith 2 Rug is drawn from the silhouettes of a 1400-year-old mystical monument: 59 boulders raised on rolling fields next to the Baltic Sea on the southern tip of Skåne, Sweden. These age-old silhouettes, placed against the blue Scandinavian sky convey a sense of timelessness. The rug has a hand-knotted shaggy and textured weave made from New Zealand wool chosen for its for softness and durability. The colors are inspired by the charcoal stones, the surrounding dusty fields, and the teal blue ocean. Monolith is designed in Stockholm and handmade in small batches in Bhadohi, India. Only a few in each size are available.
