Canoa Lab is a contemporary ceramics studio based in Valencia, Spain. Founders Raquel Vidal & Pedro Paz handcraft every item in their studio, using stoneware with grog from nearby Manises. The archaeology-inspired Arq series takes Canoa’s own archive of vessels as its starting point then modifies them on the idea of rhizomatic design. Each one is made using a press-mold technique and finished with experimental glazes for a textured surface, resulting in slight variations with each piece.
