Jake Arnold

Jake Arnold recommends:

‘I chose all the vintage pieces for their timeless silhouettes, and I hand-selected the most beautiful fabrics to best suit each frame. So much heart and soul went into restoring every item to the highest standards in Los Angeles to present every piece in its best version.’

Details & Dimensions

Only two out of thirty of these birch daybeds designed by Melchior Wernstedt for the Lillhagen Hospital in Gothenburg are known to still exist, making this an extremely rare collector's item. Reupholstered in Los Angeles in Pierre Frey's 'Le Jardin du Palais'—a printed cotton velvet that's a nocturnal evocation of the garden of paradise of the 16th-century Safavid dynasty, depicting a lush Persian landscape where gazelles, tigers, squirrels, flamingos, and herons coexist peacefully within an idyllic flora.
