Jake Arnold

Jake Arnold recommends:

‘I look for pieces that feel lived-in and have a natural patina. Some pieces are so beautiful as is, they don’t require refurbishing because the patina is what makes them special. There’s such a beauty in something that has history or origin. It give a space an inherent personality.’

Details & Dimensions

This easy chair from the 1950s is thought to have been designed by Lars Karl Hjelle, a Norwegian farmer who diversified into furniture design to support his family’s smallholding. Crafted in teak and a strip of leather which has beautifully patinated over time, this style boasts an elegant and graceful profile and was produced in a very small edition. Please note that this piece is sold as is and has not been refurbished to maintain the integrity of the original materials.
