Moisture and heat can immediately impact or damage any wood finish, please follow these protective guidelines:

Use coasters, placemats, table runners, and trivets. Avoid cork and rubber pads as these may react with the finish. Wood will expand and contract with seasonal humidity changes; maintain consistent humidity levels to minimize movement in the wood and prevent warping. Over time, air and sunlight will change the color of natural wood; occasionally rotate the accessories or other items placed on your wooden furniture to allow a more uniform color to develop. Always wipe spills promptly; if left unattended, they may result in some discoloration and could compromise the finish in the affected area.

Regular Cleaning: Small airborne particles and dust may scratch or dull the surface of your furniture. We suggest using a soft cotton or microfiber cloth, very lightly dampened with water, to wipe any build up that forms. Always wipe in the direction of the grain, never across as this may mar the finish. Excess water on the surface may cause water spots and/or discoloration. Make sure the surface is completely dry after cleaning. Do not use commercial cleaners, solvents, synthetic waxes, sprays, or ammonia-based cleaners; They may cause damage, which will be more pronounced if used over long periods of time.
