Bone china can be washed in a dishwasher - at a maximum temperature of 140°F. Hand washing reccomended for any pieces with gold or platinum precious metals. Stubborn stains can be removed by soaking in a mild bleach solution for up to one hour without damaging the china. Do not use scouring pads or abrasive cleaning solutions. Do not microwave tableware with gold or platinum trim.
