A Murphy Deesign project is bold and layered, fusing together eras, materials, and story lines that create a home with a lived-in, warm, archival aesthetic. Dee believes in slow design, allowing for the spaces to reveal themselves as each room unfolds its narrative. Designing joyfully, Murphy sources whimsical patterns and colors that evoke emotion and memory, tapping into travel, time, and personal journeys, which ultimately embrace clients as family and collaborators in the creative process.

Murphy draws her inspiration from her family, her personal explorations, and the boundless beauty of her home state of California where she loves to explore, surf, eat and search for endless photo ops with her husband Patrick, son Parker, and daughter Avery.
